    -Please show the data that supports the contention of “surging liability costs”
    – Recall actions are not necessarily predictors of increased liability costs
    – You cannot extrapolate from public health data of illness estimates of foodborne illness cases to liability costs. Relatively few liability claims are filed or litigated compared to the number of cases tot he food industry
    – The insurance industry will provide” expertise”?By whom? from where? get real- the expertise is within industry not insurers
    – Supplying recall coverage- there are more than a dozen markets for recall both US and London- no shortage of capacity or price- and many staffed by the scientifically illiterate and industry ignorant
    Terrible and misleading article for the uninformed.
