ANV Global Services Inc., the North American managing general underwriter (MGU) segment of global speciality insurance group ANV, has launched a new risk management hotline for its employment practices liability insurance (EPLI) policyholders in North America.
The EPLI hotline will provide ANV policyholders with a confidential telephone consultation service to advise on workplace employment legal issues. Through the hotline, employment law firm Genova Burns LLC (“Genova Burns”) will deliver guidance on best practices as respects human resources and employment law issues.
“By aiming to respond to our clients within 24 hours of their call we hope to assist them right at the point they need advice”, said Peter McKeegan, Director – US Financial Lines for ANV. “The insurance they have in place with us is designed to address the risk of employment liability, but by offering advice at the point a concern becomes apparent, we may be able to help manage that risk before it becomes a liability.”
The ANV EPLI Hotline is available for policyholders to call on topics including:
- Employee relations/Employee behavioral issues
- Complying With The Family and Medical Leave Act, The Americans
With Disability Act and Applicable State Leave Laws
- Reporting and investigating allegations of harassment or discrimination
- Employment law considerations in hiring and pre-employment screening
- Effective discharge and discipline
- Maintaining personal records
- Employee performance management
- Wage and Hour Law
