Realist, I would imagine there are some lively arguments in offices in the north, split between Conservatives unhappy with the past 8 years and Libtards who are very happy to have leadership disregard the Constitution, choose which laws they will enforce and which to ignore, try to rule with the pen. I think the offices that have Conservatives in it unite in their distaste of everything Progressive.
Agent, can you point me to the part of the Constitution allowing the supreme court to intervene in the counting of already-cast ballots and ban the state from counting these ballots in a presidential election? Also, a bunch of cases in 2000 where conservatives were angry about the supreme court doing so? Thanks.
Just as there are likely offices with Progressives who will unite in their distaste of everything Conservative. It’s isn’t a phenomena that’s limited to the Obama years.
Before you start the attack, I didn’t vote for Obama either time. Okay?
Alan, I actually agree with your statement that offices with a lot of Progressives unite against Conservatives. Those offices tend to be in the N/E Blue States or California and left coast. The S/E, Midwest, SW are all much more Conservative. Just about every state with a Republican Governor, legislature has a Conservative population. Congratulations on not voting for Obama either time. You showed good judgment. Hopefully, you are also not voting for Hilliary as well.
Do not forget to give a copy to Conservatives as well.
See how I did not change the word Conservative in order to lob a cheap insult? Until you learn to be respectful towards those with whom you disagree, you will not be credible and lessen the chances that you may change their hearts and/or minds. However, you may convert some away from your beliefs.
Supreme, Progressives don’t ever convert to Conservatism. Have you ever noticed that? It is always their way or the highway, just like their President who thankfully will be gone soon.
Supreme, they said a Conservative could not win in Iowa since it is known as a moderate to Progressive state. Cruz ran a smart campaign, did a lot of grass roots work and it paid off. Trump probably misjudged when he didn’t do the Iowa debate. I do give him credit this year for changing the political conversation or we would just have heard political platitudes as usual.
Those goofy Democrats had to have a coin toss in precincts to decide theirs. I saw coverage of one of their meetings and on one side, you had the Bernie supporters with all their body piercings and no clue and the other side were the old hippies supporting Hillary. They were a motley looking bunch of people.
Agent,
Who said a conservative cannot win Iowa? The last 2 GOP caucuses went to Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum. We have Steve King representing a portion of Iowa for crying out loud. All three examples are about as conservative as it gets.
The coin flip has always been part of the Dem side. Why don’t you educate yourself about different states and how they caucus before you start belittling…well…anyone?

Ted Cruz, that grease ball? His own daughter doesn’t like him. See her squirm when daddy’s lips got a little too close for comfort? I’m sure those on The Right will be wanting to check into his citizen status just as much as President Obama’s. By the way, wasn’t Trump supposed to have a team investigating and proving President Obama isn’t American? How is that working out?

I think the Hildabeast just wants back into the White House to continue stealing the White House china and silverware from the last time. She didn’t get a few pieces.
Stealing from the American people, still, accepting bribes from foreign governments and then making deals with them- America loses.
Vomit
Realist, what shape would the White House servers be in after she leaves? When Slick Willy left, all servers were trashed and GW had to start off from scratch. My guess would be incineration although she couldn’t quite get rid of all those emails, 1,300 classified, many Top Secret and some above that. I bet China and Russia have been having fun reading all that and knowing literally everything for some time now.
Trump doesn’t need to be President, he’s footing the bill himself. He’s trying to help America not steal from Her.
Hildabeast is like a fat tick on a slim hound.
Do you really believe it contributes to the quality of this discussion for you to call people you disagree with names? Come on – we can do better than that!
Ask if applicants believe in climate change and evolution. If they don’t just eliminate them immediately, that would eliminate a lot of the insane people living in an alternate reality.
Although I love discussing politics with friends and family, unless I know a co-worker’s political leanings are the same as mine, I avoid talking politics in the office like the plague. It’s way too easy for it to get heated (and even personal,) and the last thing you want to do is alienate someone you have to deal with every day.
wvagt, The Democrats are mulling who they will replace Hilliary with if she is indicted. Some say they will go to the Gaffmeister Biden who will pick up Warren. What would have been wrong with picking up your favorite son Manchin? Oh, that’s right, he is not nearly far left enough. By the way, have you ever noticed that he looks a lot like Joe Theisman?
I don’t think Biden will run, even if Hilary were to get indicted. He may have support from the establishment, but I don’t think he has the same level of support from voters. If Hilary were to get indicted or simply melt down (which is a definite possibility,) the nomination is pretty much guaranteed to go to Bernie. He’s generating the same excitement – especially with younger voters – that Obama did in 2008. I think the only one that could generate similar excitement is Warren, but I don’t know if there’s enough time for her to pull a campaign together.
Well, we apparently have another leftist thinking about joining the fray with Michael Bloomberg, the former leftist mayor of NY. Apparently, some in the Democratic Party might think Hilliary is toast and someone needs to try to save the day. If he runs as an Independent, will that not split the Hilliary/Sanders vote and assure a bigger landslide?

Manchin’s starting to lean even more to the left, and the voters in WV are restless. He might be sweating re-election next time. And yes, the resemblance to Theisman is definitely there.
Silly me, I thought Mancin was upset about Obama’s war on the coal mines. If he is leaning more left in that state, he will have trouble with re-election.

BS, what do you think about the poll just taken by Rasmussen that 59% of registered voters favor a Republican as next President and only 36% say Democrat. The enthusiasm of Republican voters is much higher now than in prior elections and it showed in Iowa. The Democrats have Obama and Hilliary to thank for this result. What is the choice, a committed Socialist/Communist or a felon Socialist about to be indicted. Any Republican would be better than those choices by 100%.
Interesting. We’ll have to see how it plays out in November. :)
I’m going to have to disagree with your statement that, “Any Republican would be better than those choices by 100%.” Although I like Chris Christie and don’t mind John Kasich or Rand Paul, there are a couple of candidates that scare the crap out of me. I’m just hoping they get weeded out before convention time.
Rand has already got out and several of the rest of them need to get out. You can’t keep going with 5% or less like Jeb and be a factor at all. Kasich and Christie are in that category. I think possibly Rubio or Cruz and Donald will fade. Whoever drops out may fill cabinet positions. Fiorina for Secretary of State, Carson to HHS and you can fill in the rest of the blanks. It has been an interesting experiment this year and the excitement will be in replacing the worst President in history and get this country back on the right track and away from Progressivism.
So your official prognostication is that Bush will win? You are just dead wrong about everything. Even if you go with that idiotic theory, why would he put these people into those positions when he has his whole network of neoconservatives for those positions?
Remember, Agent said Romney was going to beat President Obama in a landslide. I wouldn’t exactly take his opinion and run with it to the Vegas books.

Yeah, I know Rand already dropped. I was kind of disappointed by that.
I think if Kasich, Christie or Bush can ride it out a bit longer, until more people drop, their numbers will start to rise. Right now, there are so many people in the race, it’s completely splitting the vote. Out of the 186,874 votes cast in the Republican caucus, 46,616 of them were split between 10 candidates. If all of those votes had gone to one candidate, that candidate would have ended up in second place, above Trump. Granted, those votes could have gone to the three front-runners instead, but I think it would be a much tighter race if there weren’t so many people running it.
While I know there is a lot of anger on against the current administration, I just don’t see Cruz being able to win the general election. He’s so far right that I don’t think he’ll be able to win over many left-leaning voters. And you need some cross-overs to win a general election. I think Rubio might have a better chance of that. He’s a little more moderate than Cruz, and does better in the polls against Clinton and Sanders.
Trump is starting to self-destruct, but I think he’s going to hold out for a long time, and possibly do a lot of damage to the Republican party in the meantime. I can easily see him start to run an “If I don’t get the nomination, then no one gets the nomination!”-type campaign. I think it could get very, very ugly before it’s all over.

BS, I appreciate your comment. You didn’t even get ugly like some of the others did. This race is going to see many more drop after New Hampshire when they continue to get their 1-5% vote. We already saw what happened after Iowa. I guess Bush just wants to use up some more of that PAC money he has before calling it a day. He has made almost no headway since he started. We are looking at Rubio, Cruz and Trump from now on and you are right, Trump is starting to implode. One thing you need to remember is that we have not had a true Conservative run in many years. Milquetoast RINO’s have not had much luck trying to attract the left leaners or the false Independents who literally cannot make up their minds up to an hour before their vote. They truly do not know right from wrong. Cruz may surprise you on how well he does because the country is so angry at Progressive Leftists, he is a breath of fresh air. The culture of corruption in the Democratic Party is so prevalent, they really are in big trouble. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, head of DNC has done such a bad job, the party is broke. She will probably have to borrow from Soros to even have a convention.
Thanks Agent. I would prefer to discuss and even disagree with each other without trading insults.
“Milquetoast RINO’s have not had much luck trying to attract the left leaners or the false Independents who literally cannot make up their minds up to an hour before their vote… Cruz may surprise you on how well he does because the country is so angry at Progressive Leftists, he is a breath of fresh air.”
I have to disagree with you here. I think the country as a whole leans more towards the middle, than hard left or right. And I don’t think a candidate that leans too far to either side is viable. I think that’s what hurt McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012. Granted, McCain had a tough battle from the start due to the excitement surrounding Obama’s candidacy. But Romney didn’t. And even with four years of the Obama administration to use as fodder, Romney still wasn’t able to eke out a win.
But I don’t think their losses were because they were ‘milquetoast.’ Both of them were relatively moderate initially, but pulled further and further to the right during the general elections. I really think that McCain might not have lost by so much, and Romney might have even won if they’d both stayed more moderate and middle of the road. Hell, originally I liked both of them, and thought they would have been good in office. But by election day, I felt completely different and was relieved when they lost.
It’s not that I don’t think a conservative can win the White House, but I just don’t think someone as far-right as Cruz will be able to win. I think he’ll have a hard time pulling independents and an even harder time with right-leaning Democrats.
BS, I assume you have read Supreme’s post by now. He summed it up very nicely. Cruz is one smart individual so don’t sell him short. When the General Election comes around, he will have an appealing message to voters and by the way, a majority of Independents do lean Conservative. All Americans who have a brain in their head except for a few on this blog are sick and tired of Progressives who have basically ruined this country. It is past due that we have positive change brought on by Conservative policies. Cruz is the man for the job. By the way, most observers of Romney agree that he had the election won and backed off for the last month and tried to just look Presidential. He should have hammered Obama, but didn’t. His advisors cost him the election. He would have made a good President too.

We have ALL seemed to have forgotten that being President is an extreme privilege. It is supposed to be a seat held by someone who is solely DEDICATED TO PUBLIC SERVICE. Not someone who is just insanely hungry for the ultimate power trip. Not someone who will continue to rip our principles, rules and economy to shreds by furthering to create a nanny state where we become less competitive in the world and more dependent on our government.
We need someone who is a protector of our laws and understands exactly where we came from and why we have made it this far as a democracy with a 240-year history. Not only that, but someone who will see to it that we remain equally as strong for the next 240 years.
I want the guy that remains steadfast in his beliefs, doesn’t waiver because of a poll, listens intently and will adapt as a leader as needed while remaining strong, is a boring nerd, is not a guy I would want to necessarily grab a beer with, isn’t the most attractive person to look at, someone who is driven by the Constitution and the value set of our Founding Fathers, understands that he alone will not effect change and needs both parties and constituents behind him to fix what’s broken, someone who understands that the country is much bigger than him, and someone who has a plan and an agenda for the entire citizenry to evaluate through a transparent lens so that we can make the best decision in hiring this individual to do his duty for US, the American people.
Supreme, I give you 5 stars for the post. Yes, we like Cruz in Texas as well. He came from humble beginnings and was raised right by his parents. He knows right from wrong, unlike many politicians and he is driven by the Constitution, unlike some politicians in his own party and all of them on the Democratic side. I was listening to Michael Reagan being interviewed a week ago, today. He said his dad could not win the nomination in today’s GOP. When asked why, he mentioned immigration and taxes benefitting the wealthy vs. the middle and lower classes as JUST two examples. Sounds like today’s GOP just isn’t in line with who they call one of their political heroes. And, this isn’t coming from me, the registered Independent. This is coming from his own son.
