My guess she (the attorney) got hard pressed by Uber lobbyists and other hired “influence” useful idiots. It’s not a secret that even US judges get “affected” by Uber influence. That’s just shows you what out-of-control criminal enterprise uber has grown to become.
It’s hard to believe that lawyers are calling lawyers greedy.
The drivers are lucky to be getting anything at all. They agreed to terms with Uber, now they want to change their employment agreement retroactively?
By my arithmetic, the average payout per driver is about $154, so I can understand how some drivers may think the lawyers share is a bit high. even if she pays out 25% of the entire settlement to other lawyers, she still has a $4,000,000 payday
It appears everyone involved could be ruining what many of us viewed as a very positive addition to ground transportation options. Quality of cars and drivers, convenience, straightforward transaction, etc. are all attractive elements of using Uber. If any or all of this goes away, so does at least some of the attractiveness of the servive.
Regardless of the handling of this case by Uber and the attorneys, what can’t get lost is it seems rather obvious the drivers knew exactly what they were signing up for when contracting with Uber and now want to whine about it and retroactively change the terms. If you don’t like the way Uber treats you, then jump in a yellow car to drive a taxi or get another job altogether.

Completely agree! $4,000,000 for a couple months work. Sheesh.
