While often stated to be a slippery slope, it is about time that the Courts stop the abuse that has gone on for decades, resulting in higher costs to the public, with the only benefit being to the Lawyers pursuing these frivolous claims.

No way the left, the Democrats and the plaintiff’s bar who is the largest contributor to the Democratic party lets this stand. They will be all over this and demand their paid puppets pass legislation to stop this kind of action. This is their very lifeblood.

Great Judge! Let’s extend this to all cases!

This judge should be promoted to the Supreme Court!

This is a brilliant idea on behalf of the judge. I’m surprised that this hasn’t already been done. If more judges follow suit, then we could see a monumental change in the insurance industry that will in my opinion hugely impact the insurance agent-insurance buyer relationship.

About damn time… but I agree with Dave. Somehow the judge will be stopped unfortunately!

Meaningful reform of lawsuit abuse in general and class action filings specifically is long overdue – how many times have you been part of a somehow wronged class where the lawyers who filed the actions walk away with millions while you get coupons? Nevertheless I find it a little odd that this right wing judge in a red state would take claims involving an exclusively female injury to draw the line. There have been so many other cases that would have involved a more general population, after all. Is this particular class more spurious than any of the others?

Maybe if we had fewer, and far better written laws? Maybe if we had far more responsible manufacturers and better medical practices? But until then no one is protecting any of us from hidden dangers that others are profiting from. Attorneys are the modern day gladiators who fight for people’s rights in court. They are like the rest of us, often flawed, greedy, imperfect, yet there is no replacement for them yet. Funny, just like insurance agents. Yes I want all judges to smack down any cases that don’t deserve to be in court, but the courts need to develop a criteria to decide what is valid and worthy of trial and what is not. Maybe if a bunch of non attorneys in Congress worked on that, they could figure it out? For decades, the courts have not seemed to be bothered about it.

I could not agree with the judge more, he is putting the blame where it belongs. If the plaintiff bar has some skin in the game they will think twice about taking on marginal cases!

It appears that this judge’s wrath has been directed specifically at the multi-district lawsuits, and not frivolous lawsuits in general…..but it’s a start.
