By the way, I have talked with all my company reps and quizzed them some on what they think Trump brings to the table as far as positives to the industry or negatives. They have all said it is positives for them. Blue Cross even sent me a survey to take on their service, programs, ease of doing business etc etc. I told them they need to design some new plans for the public for whenever the disaster known as Obamacare is done away with. Stay tuned, it won’t be long.
As I said in prior threads, ACA will be replaced by a plan that is coming together rapidly, using multiple ideas from multiple sources. We already hear that a medical savings account will be used. The costs will be addressed through state by state actions. There will be similar legislative action to repeal or amend Federal laws that prohibit selling medical insurance across state lines.
There will be more looks at McCarran-Ferguson, Public Law 15, from 1945, which was amended after ACA was passed.
Beyond those key details, I am not sure which of the various ideas I’ve heard from people involved in HI will be approved and pursued by Trump’s Policy Experts. Stay tuned.

You know, as much as I disagree with certain tactics you partake in I also see that you have a lot of American pride and I respect that. I truly believe that you, just like myself, want more than anything for our country to prosper. I feel that the main difference between you and I is that I do not care who we prosper under. Democrat, Republican, Independent – I simply do not care because before political agendas are shared we all share one major thing in common: we are Americans. I ask you this with the utmost respect: do you have a hard time accepting the accomplishments of opposing parties because they simply are the opposing party? I want you to know that I do not quite view you like I do Agent. He is toxic and I think you know this. Just look at his posts. Do you support someone who constantly belittles his fellow man? It is important that if you have children that they view their father/mother as a caring, compassionate and reasonable person who does not judge others based purely on their political faction, color, creed, gender affiliation or anything of that matter. You can be a good person. I fear that Agent cannot. He is so stuck on the idea of “we won” that he isn’t considering the implications of his actions. I promise you that if we do not extend a hand to “the others” now they will not extend one to us when we have another Democrat in office. Again, I see your pride. I see your hope. He is not asking for you to apologize, just find a way to show some humility and civility. Your side won. Congratulations. There is no need to continue to bash those with whom you are opposed. That is all he is saying.
I and others have extended olive branches to you and your response was to try to beat us over the heads to death with them.
Most of us whom do not agree with you have expressed that we are willing to give President Trump a fair chance, but not a free pass. Will you be willing to hold him accountable if he fails in his objectives?
Was there a similar call for civility to the Liberals and others funded by George Sore-Ass to cause riots, destroying property, blocking streets, etc.? I didn’t hear / read of any such call for civility on the Left. Further, there is a movement for a recount, funded by ‘go-fund-me’ of whatever site it is, that is mentioned in the news. Finally, there are REPEATED claims that the POPULAR VOTE is a valid measure of Clinton’s win…. on the internet, in real life, and here on IJ.
I’ll be watching for any movement by the Left toward a more civil tone. I haven’t seen any, and the regression of their behavior on the streets, on college campuses, and on the internet, is getting WORSE each day.

Agent, sadly, is blinded by old age and white man delusion. He has a very hard time seeing things without immediately forfeiting to his rationalization, “well, my views are mine so they must be right!”. I have read a lot of what you have posted here, Ron, and feel that you are fighting a losing battle. Agent, in a very hilarious way, reminds me of Golem from Lord of the Rings with the Ring being his politics. I hope you get the reference. The truth is Depolar is intelligent. He may be a bit narrow-minded in some regards but I cannot help but feel that he articulates some things in an intellectual way. Agent, on the other hand, just spews nonsense. They both deal their own brand of poison but I feel Depolar’s poison is one that can be diluted. Main point, you are right. Agent cannot stand hearing the FACT that someone (me) who voted Trump is calling him out on his radical nonsense. I hope that in me you can see that not everyone is like him. I’d say a lot aren’t.
