Can’t wait until this stupid law is rescinded and these low life jerks have to get jobs and make something of themselves to get their insurance. Welcome to an honest life. It’s not that hard, you dregs.

Everyone that purchases healthcare via the ACA is not unemployed or a leach. Many of them have jobs that do not offer coverage and some are self-employed. Some want to properly manage their healthcare needs like the rest of us. Before the ACA many uninsured were using the ER as a primary care facility and we all certainly paid for that.

The article states that 85% of the people enrolled are receiving a gov’t subsidy.
Still would like to see what it costs taxpayers before ACA when an uninsured went to the hospital but could not afford to pay.

if you are a conservative, some non-conservatives here will downvote your post into oblivion. if you’re not a conservative, some conservatives here will downvote your post into oblivion.

best way to deal with it is to ignore the like/dislike vote totals and click to reveal the comment. unless the usual suspects are on vacation this week, i bet this post will get downvoted & will be hidden soon enough.

What about people who are employed and are not offered health insurance? Or companies who only offer part time work or offer positions as contractors? I know quite a few people in this position and this is a way to offer the person health care.

Simple…let insurers compete across state lines and on the internet just like home and auto insurance. We did not need to pass a mass draconian law that made it more expensive for everyone to buy insurance. It would have been cheaper to just buy these people an insurance policy from a private company (I would not have supported that either, but it would have been cheaper).

The goal of ACA is govt take-over of healthcare. Period. That will result in more govt control of your life. Period.

This version of healthcare is now nothing more than another welfare program, taking money from people who can afford healthcare and giving it to people that can’t or don’t want to afford healthcare. Plenty of healthy uninsured chose beer and smoking over healthcare.

The goal of the ACA was to provide the uninsured with an avenue for affordable healthcare and provide more consumer friendly healthcare for those of us who have it through our employers. Consumer friendly features such as the elimination of pre-existing conditions, lifetime caps and an emphasis on preventative care. I like these features. Not all uninsured people are deadbeats, beer drinkers or smokers. Some are just hardworking low income people.

Unlike Obama, The Congress will hold Trump accountable. Why? Their political futures depend on it. with Obama using Executive Orders, Congress didn’t try to hold him accountable because it would have been more difficult to do when the actions were taken under Executive fiats. Further, their use of ‘the purse’ to rebuff Obama would have been criticized by the liberal Main Stream Media, and ignorant citizens would believe the media.

        Straw Man Argument.

Disabled citizens won’t be forced to work. IF you believe otherwise, please show us an instance of this happening under a prior Republican White House Administration. You won’t because you can’t because it is ANOTHER LIE by pathological liar liberals. However, ‘Low Lifes’ will be forced to do some work, to get benefits and income supplements.

But, fear not, Illegal Immigrants will soon be leaving, permanently or temporarily, so you can have one of the jobs Illegal Immigrants can’t do any longer. George Sore-ass can no longer justify paying you bitcoins to troll the internet…. at least not until the next Congressional election cycle begins in about a year and a half.

It’s not a straw man argument. Bill made the incorrect point that everyone who gets subsidies is a low-life who needs to get a job. Captain’s reply was completely legitimate.

Let’s not forget about the penalty for Not signing up and being without health insurance as a factor in people signing up.
Not only are health insurers losing money, but so are the taxpayers who are subsidizing most enrollees.
Let’s hope Trump and the incoming government can fix this mess.

InTheMiddle described the problem the best. The old system was unsustainable. Annuals premiums increasing in double digits annually, individuals with pre-exiting health problems uninsurable. Annual and lifetime caps. Is the ACA plan perfect, certainly not, but with needed reforms blocked by congressional bickering and we have yet to see the costs and descriptions of an opposing plan. It is time congress began to work together. Don’t blame the ACA plan, blame congress for not doing their jobs.

    Hey!, butt-hurt liberals who are in denial and continuing futile resistance to the election results;

Get on board, get out of the way, or get run over.

Those of you who feel you are correct to exercise your right to protest the election results into infinity should come to your senses and set your personal timetable for taking more productive actions in the near future.

Republicans control the White House and both Chambers of Congress. Very soon the SCOTUS will be at 9 justices, 5 of which are going to support the US Constitution. Eventually, 6 or more SCOTUS Justices will hold Conservative views and support the US Constitution.

    Resistance is futile.

Resistance is CERTAINLY FUTILE when one political ideology has been accepted by tyhe majority of the US citizens, as evidenced by the majority of STATE and Federal governments having a hyuuuge Republican majority. The US Congress is controlled by Republians, and the SCOTUS will soon be 5 Conservatives vs. 4 Liberals, and perhaps even 6 Conservatives if/ when Ginsberg reires.

            FUTILE.
