Our monthly Climate Change article published by IJ as if it were gospel. Hey fellas, the Climate Change ship sailed a while back and the scientists proclaiming it thoroughly discredited. Polar’s ice berg is still intact and not contributing to rising oceans off of Miami beach.

13 million citizens(potentially) migrating around the country eighty years from now is a problem to be dealt with(?) immediately….but an influx of 13 million a year now is not?

Your numbers are comically wrong. That is more than the total number of illegal immigrants in the US, by millions, and the number had decreased since 2009. I don’t find you credible, nor do I think you are remotely informed.

        UW,
13,000; 130,000; 1,300,000 isn’t really relevant to my point, in case you’re a little slow on the uptake. Nor do I care whether you find me credible or informed, as you don’t know me. However, people who DO know me know that I know what I know and know that I won’t say I know something I don’t really know, just to give an answer – and I don’t spout lies, half truths, etc.
I guess you think I should just place all of my trust in you, and follow whatever your viewpoint is in all this? You obviously fancy yourself well informed, credible and a font of wisdom….oh, and humble, too!
Anyway, this whole posterboard thing is really just for amusement…let the avatars fight, back to real life I go!

So the numbers are proof, but you don’t care about the numbers, which you provided.

Funny how Wells Media tolerates so much racism here, and conservatives have to literally threaten harm multiple times, and call for murder to have posts removed, but any critical posts towards conservatives are yanked immediately. The only conclusion is that Wells Media, IJ, and their responsible employees endorse those views.

I hear you, UW. IJ has taken a turn. I tried to ethically criticize i45 in several posts just to have them removed. I’m so old, I remember all the racist comments about the Obamas out here being allowed to fly unchecked. Did the Faux News employees who were fired come over to IJ?

Yes, it’s sad, but that is largely the industry too. It’s an industry that has but kept up with the times, socially or technically. The technical skills of the people I work with are an embarrassment, and we are a top company working with the largest companies in the world. Based on this site personal lines and small business brokers are worse off than I thought, with a significant number of almost illiterate people and widespread innumeracy. But hey, they can post all day, so that makes them right.

OMG, UW, not everything is to be taken literally. The numbers actually, really, honestly don’t matter – because I was talking about a CONCEPT: namely that I find it rather odd that someone’s worrying about mass migration (ostensibly some large number, but totally speculative)eighty years into the future, but NOT worrying about mass migration actually happening today (again, some large number… but you’ve probably counted, and are continuing to count, right? In order to have FACTS, right?)
Mass migration is happening TODAY, as the result of things that are actually FACTUALLY happening TODAY, and about which we could actually, FACTUALLY do something to avert more pain and suffering in the world, and your response is the above???

Mexico and other Central and South American countries are short by that number of Gringos on their latest censuses. I reckon that reconciles the illegal immigrant count variances being debated.

I heard he is seeking trillions to help rectify this, or domestically train polar bears now that the population is back up, I can not remember which. Either way, I’m getting some answers!

No they don’t. The study you are talking about is debunked. First, it’s a start date picked because it was at the time a record high. Second that satellite “data” was not capable of doing the type of research they claimed. But, that’s irrelevant, you are a conservative, and your entire ideology is not paying taxes, passing externalities to others, and being against liberals, not anything baser on data, theory, your philosophy or thinking, so the only thing that could change your mind would be liberals being against it.

An environmental impact statement submitted by the resort argues that the rate of coastal erosion could be twice the rate presented in the report “as a result of global warming.”

Classic Trump. Say one thing (climate change is false and there’s nothing to worry about) and say the opposite too (climate change will actually be twice as bad as people project).

Aside from nepotism, can this guy be consistent on ANYTHING?

Of course this is nothing new: a certain subset of conservatives has been saying it should have been avoided by allowing it to continue or just buying the slaves. The true problem was the leniency given to the southern states after the war and in later years.

Agent said:…”the Climate Change ship sailed a while back and the scientists proclaiming it thoroughly discredited”. do you not yet realize how dumb that statement is? Sorry sir but you cannot discredit facts. The conservative platform is based on the idea that anything you don’t want to believe in you just challenge it and that makes it less acceptable…..yeah, just like the Spanish Inquisition and Bruno and Galileo. The very idea that the sun was at the center of the solar system was disputed and based on “junk” science. Climate change is just that – regardless of how hard you want it to be otherwise. What makes this all the worst is the smugness of those who dispute the facts. Ignorance won’t be bliss though when you are one of the “trapped” folks living at the coast.

The fact you call over 40 years of science based, fact based research and data junk proves the point. The conservative “if i can’t see it it must be fake” belief is par for the course. Even when they had hearings on capital hill republicans got caught red handed using bogus data from known hacks pushing corporate interests and doctoring reports. your own definition of climate change illustrates the level of ignorance and illiteracy you possess. do you even know what climate change actually is? it isn’t simply temperatures changing. #FactsMatter
