Great news! Any reversal or change from Obama Era policies is a good thing.

As was the case with just about everything Obama did, he over reached, went too far. Placed yet another onerous regulation on businesses. Have their been discrimination issues in the past? Sure. Are they as bad as they once were? No way. Do they require draconian measures imposed by the Obama administration? Absolutely not. The courts can take care of individual cases or employers wit proven systemic problems. This, like so many of the measures being taken by Trump with move our economy to growth rates of 3%, 4% or maybe even 5% as compared to the average 1.5% given to us by Obama thanks to his continuous anti-business policies.

I agree that excessive regulation serves only to burden job creators to create an appearance of driving social “justice” without meaningful results. Often, publicized data is misinterpreted and oversimplified to justify pre-existing opinions based on cherry-picked data offered out of context. The result is people getting on their soap box and demanding reforms based on data that has been twisted to support the argument that benefits themselves. That’s what makes so any of these Obama-era policies dangerous. That said, I believe workplace discrimination is more of an issue than Trump makes it out to be and needs to be addressed more than he seems to want. This “leze-faire” approach to business is not the answer either. It seems more self-serving for him than anything. Arguing it’s legal to discriminate against people based on sexual orientation? Please. It’s an attempt to make a legal argument in support of a religious ideal, not fairness to our citizens. Boosting the stock market a few points at the expense of our humanity is not the answer, but neither is treating business owners like criminals who are guilty until proven innocent. There has to be a more tactical measure that can be taken, but for some reason political activists on both sides have such extreme, all or nothing, black and white views, common sense seems to be impossible in modern politics.

Isn’t the EEOC supposed to enforce the Civil Rights Act of 1964? Isn’t that non partisan???
