They should have done their research. There is already an online education technology provider called Blackboard that works with accredited colleges and universities. Seems like they would want to reinforce the central AIG brand more, rather than continue to dilute it.
One to watch. The Commercial Insurance arena is ready for a tech shake-up so it will be very interesting to see what AIG brings to this market through the Blackboard start-up.
