Next is, and should be written about now, as an insurance carrier. Period! Next is not, and never was, an “InsurTech” because there is no such entity … there is no legally recognized insurance regulated entity called “InsurTech.”
It is irrelevant what technology Next used to enter the insurance marketplace. It is ONLY relevant as to what insurance licenses Next is required to have and what insurance regulations Next must comply with.
These stories all read the same about start ups, etc. Not sure the customer needs a “holistic” experience in purchasing insurance. Sounds a bit too word parsing to me.
