Isn’t it great that our President has revitalized the insurance industry and made it necessary to seek out applicants who are interested in insurance jobs? Low unemployment and growth go hand in hand. Perhaps they can find some applicants from the pool of 95 million Obama left us who gave up looking for work and not counted in unemployment stats.

I think it comes down to engaging the right subsection of the job pool that every other industry is vying for.

I find it a difficult industry to refer my kids to. It seems the insurance industry always blames the non upper management when things head south, and lots of misrep amongst the producers. Although nothing in business is black and white it’s a difficult industry for a straight shooter to work in; not to mention trying to solicit prospects who just take your advice and go back to the agent they go to church or they hunt with, and make those changes, for example!

Every young Agent/Producer has failed to qualify a risk properly and were disappointed that the account stayed where they were despite doing a good insurance job for them, improving coverage, service and saved money for them. Sometimes, they would give your proposal to the existing agent and they would say they could do the same thing. If they could, why didn’t they?
