I have seen my share of health care increase every year since I’ve had an employer based plan. Companies have long ago stopped being concerned about their employees as the boards of directors are only looking at the bottom line. There are intangibles that need to be accounted for, one is the welfare of employees. but today there is no loyalty to the employee and the employee has little loyalty for an employer who’s share of the pie is so starkly different from what employees get. So none of this should surprise anyone. No matter how it is framed, business will eventually stop offering health care and it will be a government plan for all. don’t worry it will be some sort of business backed plan that is paid for by the ordinary taxpayer, not corporate taxes. That way corporate America will be right behind it.
Actually, your idea of a government sponsored health care plan in lieu of group health plans offered by employers is the Democrats Pipe Dream. With the election of a Republican controlled Congress and Donald Trump, that dream of Democrats for a Single Slayer, er, Single delayer, er, single Payer health care program has become a nightmare for them. And it led to a contagion of TDS, especially in blue states.
Several aspects of ‘HEALTH CARE SPPECIFICCS’ will resolve many of the problems of ACA once the Republicans control a larger share of the US Senate, at whatever time that may occur. With such a slim margin in the US Senate, and RINOs like Flake, Murkowsky, and McCain, they didn’t have the votes to repeal ACA. Things will change, perhaps very soon.
What ever happened to that secret Republican health care plan your “sources” told you about, and then the revisions they also told you about that they expected to drop and pass any day? Lol. Clownish.
Health care is 100% a State issue under the US Constitution.

Your comments about sponsored health care are probably 95% accurate, with an error of margin of +/- 5%.
I personally would rather have the company set up/administer the plan, and let me pay for it (like Aflac policy deductions?). I can’t afford to do that (negative wages??), but would prefer private health insurance options over the government running the show.
With obesity, sugar and alcohol consumption on the rise, but even with lower tobacco usage and Obama cost reductions, we’re headed for a cost of healthcare train wreck not yet experienced even at current cost levels and write-offs. Live in a rural area which already has trouble recruiting physicians and the ones they get now seem to want to run tests on every pimple. These tests either make the provider or doc revenue or protect them from a potential lawsuit. I’ve also seen where they are not checking the basics, like recurring chest pains being related to gall bladder stones rather than cardio vascular. Someone has to pay for all those tests and procedures. The docs and nurses are getting hog tied documenting everything, now often electronically, instead of using their gifts and training for more productive patient interaction.

With Wisc getting an exemption from the PPACA, waiting to see what good comes of it.. Walker tends to come through on his promises. So… The waiting game begins. Show me dont tell me.
I remember the years before the PPACA when I’d see at least 10% if not greater increases. Thank God the PPACA has slowed that roll! Healthcare became a problem as soon as it became an employee benefit. Need to get the employer out of the way and Ron’s single-payer model is the best one I’ve heard out here. Yogi wants to go back to the old way so we can start seeing double digit increases every year again. No thanks!

Just like the republican tax plan that raised the deficit by more than 50% then if they did nothing and continued with what Obama was doing? While yes the tariffs have also hurt us, recent studies show it is directly related to the tax cuts that have taken place. Right now we are actually showing signs of a recession coming.
While it is early, the trickle down effect is also a joke for those who believed it. It hurts the US economy and middle to lower class Americans instead of helping them out. Any college level course in advanced finance will tell you that stuff just does not work.
There is no economic theory known as ‘trickle down’. When people keep more of what they earn the economy grows and when government grows too large and co-opts the economy for political purposes we see the problems we are experiencing today. It’s not complicated. http://www.mises.org
This is what I note on survey for my health insurance, I paid $5,000 for just me and my baby but my wage increase not even 3 %!!!! I went delivery and I still pay out of pocket $3K for myself and $2K for my baby.I hate health insurance in USA so much!!!!
