Screw Wells Fargo. Make them go back to the program inception in 2002, because that’s when they began force-placing LCP insurance on loans that didn’t need it. Personally, I don’t give a damn what the expense is to the thieving bastards.
A little over 10 years ago, I pulled my funds from Wells Fargo for bogus charges after being with them since age 18 and went to another bank around the corner, I never regret that decision. A few years later, they opened up a new credit card under my name and billed me $35, something they would not remove and it took a meltdown with them to eventually have that $35 erased. It too bad, I grew up with Wells Fargo, however a new generation took over and trashed their good name. If was widespread across the bank, so former John Stumpf is the person who is responsible for all of this in my book. Furthermore I believe he should be in jail. Being in the Bay Area and within an hour of San Francisco where Stumpf lives and the Wells Fargo HQ, the city and nearly everyone attached to it know corruption like it’s nobodies business. It’s too bad a once great city is not a city America should be proud of. I don’t recommend visiting or having your convention is a city that keep flipping everyone off.
As an ex-employee of WFIS it angers me all the bank compliance training I was forced to take year after year even though I worked in the insurance division. We had ethics force fed to us even when they were doing all these despicable things. Thankfully they sold us before all the bad publicity.
what about the people who were cheated?
where is there financial justice?
the bank knew all along this was a crime.
Pay back every dime to each individual or their heirs- period.
Lessons need to be learned, even for those who think they are too big to be controlled.

I don’t want to hear any excuses for this terrible behavior by this scandalous bank.
