The pursuit of the compensation and health care is proper. But the terms of eligibility are not clear per the article. I wonder how many people will be covered; ‘thousands’ is mentioned. How will those originally exposed be identified? Public records of those living within a few hundred miles of the test sites, and those who worked in uranium mines are likely to be available. But how do they verify exposure to those people who visited the area long enough to incur radiation poisoning? What about handlers of mined uranium?

Proper decisions are needed to determine who qualifies, and that their exposure likely caused health issues. Those who don’t know about their benefits need to be informed, so part of the process must include tracing them down via records, and then testing their (assumed) eligibility.

Finally, keep in mind why Iran is being sanctioned by the UN, not only the US and Israel. And be aware that John Kerry is currently working with our enemy…. again.

And that enemy is Donald Trump.
