I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage all seniors who read this board to undergo cognitive impairment screening if you haven’t done so already. Do it for yourself. Do it for your loved ones.

“If you or a loved one have repeatedly ranted about stoners, referred to others with differing opinions as “communists”, have had more than 6 monikers over the past year, made outrageous political predictions which have yet to come true under the guise of having inside information, blamed BOTs for “censoring conservative posts” despite possessing absolutely no evidence of this and being woefully unable to accept a more logical explanation of a (now fixed) glitch which at one point allowed multiple downvotes, and if you suffer from a fragile ego disorder where you feel the need to always be the smartest person in the room, cognitive impairment screening may be for you.”

Attention, Stoners! There is good news in this article despite the dire implication of the title! The vitamin E-acetate has been present in the instances where vaping marIJuana products led to 200 cases of SEVERE respiratory illnesses. Blame it on the ‘E’ !

IF I were a stoner vaping marIJuana, I’d send a complaint letter to IJ for their blasphemous article title that implies marIJuana may be to blame. But, I’m not, thank God!

How many cases of sudden severe respiratory illnesses have resulted from users smoking or vaping flowers? We know there are 200 cases coming from the concentrate in vape pens. So yeah, trying to determine what additives are in those concentrates that are leading to these health issues is what needs to be done. People have been using MJ for centuries. Vape pens are a relatively new phenomenon. If they are going to continue to be offered, a full investigation on what is included in the solvent is necessary.

One more thing regarding your suggestion to stoners vaping MJ. No one but you and Agent send complain letters to IJ. But yet, you are the ones quick to label the rest of us snowflakes.

If I were vaping anything, I’d be weary. Those concentrates include chemicals not originally found in the plant, MJ or tobacco. Chemically alter the plant and who knows what additional health issues may ensue. We will continue to see “mysterious” respiratory illnesses with these vape pens because of what is being added to the concentrate to help deliver the product to the user.

It’s kind of scary right now. Not every company producing these vape cartridges is reliable, which is a real shame because it’s such a better system for getting thc. You’re supposed to be doing less damage to your lungs than actually smoking the flower, but additives are making it really unhealthy. Personally I don’t want to smell of smoke.

Supporters of stoning have lost sight of the message of the article. It doesn’t bode well for them in the long run. There are too many recent studies that indicate stoning has adverse long term effects to suggest stoning is less harmful than alcohol, etc..

Opponents of using cannabis responsibly have lost sight of the message of the article. Vape pens do not bode well for users until those users know exactly what’s in the concentrate. There are not enough studies, due to cannabis’ current schedule and the lack of testing, to suggest it has more harmful effects than alcohol, etc. Though, if it did have more harmful effects than alcohol, we’d be seeing it with our own eyes because roughly 20% of the US population has used or is using.

“Lost sight of the message . . .” Man, you nailed it.

The Federal limitations on research and testing of Pot products has absolutely NOTHING to do with testing of additives like Vitamin E. Meaning your comment is pointless.

Put the bong down, Kangaroo. Your genetic brain damage appears to be progressing.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/08/22/vaping-lung-disease-cdc-reports-153-cases-many-involving-thc/2081792001/

    Excerpt:
“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced this week that 153 possible cases of severe lung illness linked to vaping were reported across 16 states in the past two months. Many cases involved the use of products containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive chemical found in cannabis.”

ANOTHER case of vaping deaths has been reported in Kansas.

This adds clarity to the above:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/death-from-vaping-in-indiana-california-and-minnesota-more-people-died-at-least-450-illnesses-now-nationwide/

    excerpt:
“Government health investigators are looking into whether an oil derived from Vitamin E — found in samples of marijuana vaping products from patients all over the country who got sick — may be responsible for at least some of the cases.”

So, the OIL derived from Vitamin E is the POSSIBLE cause of the deaths and illnesses. But why is THC/ marIJuana mentioned in the same sentence? Read the above EXCERPTS carefully!

So there’s a potentially harmful additive being used right now. I don’t want to ask what your point is, because I don’t care, but it seems like you’re just trying to spread more fear to help your anti-marijuana agenda.

Seems this Lung Disease is spreading the fear. Took my wife off the oil and put her back on the bud.
Then I turned around, looked in the mirror and gave up the cig habit after 30+ years with out a vape pen. . 18 days and counting. If this old dog can do it with out vaping, anyone can.

Keep it up. It will get worse before it gets better, but you can do it.

We know, you are trying to flash the shiny object when everyone knows there has never been a single instance of anyone overdosing to the point of death in the entire history of MJ. So, the reason why they are looking at what else is inside the concentrate, other than THC, is because scientists know it is impossible to die from using too much THC. You go ahead and keep peddling fear, though, rather than looking at the actual cause for these illnesses.

Political debates on tv: Not funny
Political debates on tv while enjoying legal MJ: Hilarious

Wedding Crashers: Hilarious while not on MJ
Wedding Crashers on legal MJ: Ten times funnier

Trumps Haircut: Not funny at all
Trumps Haircut on legalized MJ: Funniest thing you’ll see all year
(I can say that I as I voted for Trump. Didn’t want to, but didn’t like the other option either)
