    Hello,

It is about time that they are subjected to oversight. The ride-sharing industry is a wild wild west where drivers earn 45 cents per mile in Dade County, FL whereas a yellow-cab’s fare is $2.50 per mile. It is not only an unfair competition but also a detriment to a driver’s income. Prior to the advent of Uber and Lyft, taxi drivers had a tough time making hands meet. Now, it’s almost impossible for ride-share drivers to meet their needs. Competition (10000 ride-share drivers in South Florida) and such a low fare have signicantly affected the possibility of a decent wage. A change, for a better wage for drivers, is needed in the industry. Thanks.
