Since you didn’t link a study I can’t speak to the accuracy of your claim, but this is a full blown epidemic right now. Construction workers nodding off while working are leading to more claims because of the opiate problem in our country. Our industry insures their industry, this is totally relevant and something that’s going to continue to create problems for our insureds. It’s not going to go away on it’s own.

So let’s make pot available everywhere. That ought to help. And let opiates flow over the border. That’s a good plan too.

Certainly don’t want any construction workers using anything on the job. If they were to smoke responsibly at night, I have no issues with that. Just the same that I don’t care when they grab a 6 pack on their way home. It doesn’t have the same lingering effect that opiates do. Opiates are of great concern. These workers get injured on the job and take the pain meds so they can get through the day. They are basically showing up on the job site on heroin.
