So, here is a “real” crime perpetuated against an individual(s), by none other than one of the most distrustful organizations in the world, and no comments or opinions.
You mean purported crime. Or alleged, or even claimed. The article and facts at hand make it seem an awful lot like there’s no crime here. Last I checked, you don’t have to keep someone on your payroll if the guy’s a jackass. People who claim to be prejudiced against as heterosexual white men aren’t often taken seriously with good reason. Lot of crossover with the group that thinks it’s okay to say things like “I’m not racist but…”.
GOOG is a D.A.R.P.A. startup. Interestingly founded by native born and U.S.S.R. born Americans. Did anyone expect anything less from a Pentagon “shop”?
Regardless of whether you feel Google is in the right or not, it seems clear that this case has had a negative effect on them. At the least, this publicity will make talented software engineers hesitate to seek employment at Google if they are Libertarian or Conservative (or possibly just white or Asian male). In a field where companies live or die on their ability to attract and keep talent, that’s a serious matter.
Nah, they’ll just dig deeper into the H1’s for people who were more used to being loyal to the state or corporation in their non democracy home countries. Then they can pay even LESS than the prevailing, and much less than the LIVABLE wage for Silicon Valley.
