It will be interesting to see this trend develop from a carrier strategy perspective. Allstate announced that they will be selling their Allstate brand Auto (not sure on Home or other lines) on the internet at a cheaper price than through an agent. I think agents will still hold a significant chunk of the market, but this will certainly speed any change in the landscape.

That makes sense. All esle being equal, there’s no commission expense.
sorry, one more comment: I wouldn’t be surprised if DOI regulators told them they can’t charge for an expense they aren’t paying.
