The most critical part of the story was omitted: WHERE was the lawsuit filed, in China or the USA? That alone will tell you how credible the claim is and what the outcome of the suit will be.

(The fact Reuters couldn’t find the lawsuit tells me it was probably filed in China, but damn, who writes this stuff?)

      Craig
The lawsuit was filed in a local Chinese court, as the article now states.
Professional reporters “write this stuff” and they publish what they can find out, which is not necessarily everything at first. Believe it or not, corporations, governments and even individuals are not always forthcoming with information when asked and it can sometimes take awhile to get even basic facts. You’re welcome.

Oh, c’mon, Andrew. We will give you a pass if you make a mistake now and again if you will just admit it.

You want us to believe the reporter “didn’t know” where the suit was filed after it was . . . filed?

Let me give you a hint: the reporter did not get his information from China. He probably got it from Apple or he could have easily verified it with Apple.

And if he didn’t know where the suit was filed, as you allege, he could have stated that in the article he wrote!

(P.S. You published a false story last week about the Hell’s Angel/White Supremacist who was supposedly the ONE person who started all the burning buildings in Minneapolis.)

Turns out that guy started a fire the day AFTER the fires started elsewhere in Minneapolis. The supposed “White Supremacist” can’t be identified and has not been arrested, so how does anyone know he is a white supremacist OR a Hell’s Angel. That story is now a laughable clown show example of leftist media that you published.

I won’t look for a correction. Or an apology. Let me know if you want me to link to the corrected story for you.

Let me give you a hint. You are wrong if you think a firm is happy to let the media know when it has been a sued, especially if it has not even seen the complaint itself. The reporting needs no defense or apology because there was nothing wrong.
And your other beef is with the Minneapolis police, not the media that reported what the police said.
I welcome fair criticism, not gratuitous and regular bashing of the media.
