I live in Rockport, ground zero, six weeks and not a penny from insurance for damages to our home. All repairs are out of pocket, trying to protect my property. FEMA stopped by the house and told me to kiss off because I had insurance. FEMA inspector did ask if I slept with my wife. Yep, that’s what he ask. What a joke!!!

You probably have coverage with the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association for your wind coverage. Perhaps when you insure with the insurer of last resort, you get the service of last resort. All of my Rockport customer who had wind coverage with private insurance companies have been paid for their wind damage, most of them weeks ago. So, again, it’s the government organized insurance companies that are dropping the ball on timely service.

“In a statement released by the ICT, that organization said Sharp’s comments are “troubling” not only because of the billions of dollars insurers have already paid on Harvey-related claims, but because insurance agents and agencies are not responsible for paying claims.”

His comments are more than ‘troubling’. They show just how uninformed he is.

About as bogus as it gets with these comments. The Insurance Industry has dozens of disaster teams on the scene and FEMA got high marks for their response. That is not to mention all the private volunteers who have been down there assisting people.
