So you think the cost of insurance is going up? lets see if it can keep up with the same rate of increase that gasoline has gone up. I bet most people spend 3 times as much on gas as they do on home owners insurance for the year.

Who is watching the Insurance commissioner? He grants unconcionable rate increases to the Long Term Care companies, just beacause they ask. While forcing agents who are trying to earn a living to divulge our commiions, to our clients, they are so small now it won’t matter. He is too busy getting ready to run for govenor he does not care about our seniors at all or the agents who are just small business owners.

Talk about a waste of time, I can;t think of any reason this legislation will FORCE insurers to do anything. The claims that are still open are open because there is a dispute or they are in mediation or litigation to reach an agreement between parties, sure you may have a few that are delayed because the adjustor dropped the ball or the file was lost etc, but for the most part the claims that can be settled, are settled. They really should be spending time on real things like, stopping the CFO and Dept of Ins from running companies out of Florida. Its time to accept the fact that insurance costs are like everything else we buy, they go up. I do not want to be insured by a company that does not make enough money to stay in business or pay its claims, I want a solid well backed policy, its time the rate requests are granted.

It’s a good start there in Florida. People should check out the companies that ripped off the people in MD who had flood insurance.
Beware of the company that produces beautiful animal shows on tv. Who would guess that the “mutual” company is so unethical. Maybe they should stick with insurance issues and pay people on their claims instead of funding nature shows.
Or is it an image thing to distract the public from the way they do business????
