Where is our resident State Farm hater? I look forward to a series of gibberish posts here. Then again, this is acually about State Farm, so they probably are waiting for an article about breast milk to comment on the evil empire. By the way, why does State Farm even bother? They will always be rejected.

This is fuel for the fire. I predict that State Farm will seek approval to drop tens of thousands of policies if not half of their current book. Why should they stay here if they think they need a 47% increase in rates, they would look pretty stupid to continue with what they have.
Thanks Comrade McCarty, your efforts at destroying the enemy have been most effective. Now lets see what happens to Citizens.

YOu hit it on the head, they will continue to use Citizens as their primary insurance vehicle and the State will do nothing about it! Heck they are giving multi-policy discounts if they write a Citizens policy with their auto.
No oversight by Citizens, why not write policies…

17% Multiline discount to write Citizens? What the hell was the OIR thinking when approving this?

They are just as guilty for really burdening the state with this toxic insurance mess.

Snake Farm is a bad neighbor in the end

Thank you commissioner McCarty! At least he can the greed in the insurance industry and is not swayed by highly paid lobbyist! You all are just bummed because your bonuses won’t be as high! Bye Bye State farm, take you high insurance premiums and you auto, life, and annuities and get out of Florida if you don’t want to sell at a reasonable rate! Don’t let the sun hit you on your back end while your leaving!

And you take your claim from the next big one, Kathy, and hope you can collect. There is a distinct probability your claim will not actually be funded. The idiotic property insurance market scheme set up by the bipartisan government morons in Florida is designed to fail. Unfortunately, people such as yourself buy into this because of the reduced cost. You get what you pay for. There is a reason for that old saying. In the long run, this system will fail. That’s the only truth here. Your politicians certainly aren’t telling you any. This is a sucker born every minute. The suckers in Florida are proving that succinctly.

I have found that even giving State Farm the rate hike they requested my insurance would still be less than other companies have quoted me. We need to keep State Farm in Florida.
