Mr. Goodwin is following in the footsteps of his predecessor, even to the extent of dressing like he did, with a trademark fire engine red tie. He wants to look like he is doing a great job for the people by delaying the hearings and therefore any rate increase,until after his election effort, while at the same time creating a Florida like insurance market wherein the standard insurers flee the state leaving us with a state run quasi govenmental agency that will be underinsured and underfunded because it can’t afford to buy re insurance adequate to pay for the next hurricane’s catastrophic damage.
