    If the bondsman can’t be held responsible, then what was the point of the bond premium and ankle bracelet (which I’m sure wasn’t free either)? Let’s just let them go. He’s basically saying he serves no funciton whatsoever. Sounds governmental to me.

    I’m surprised a bondsman does anything other than issue the bond; however, if the bondsman agreed to provide the hardware AND the monitoring service, then it sounds as if they are indeed at fault in this case. There are many security systems that are installed by one contractor and then monitored by someone else. More detail would be nice before blame is assessed.

    What were the damages against the claimant that was the basis of the suit? How did she find out he wasn’t being properly tracked?
