In his parasitic role as a “representative,” has Mr. Golick ever produced anything that free people would voluntarily pay their own money for?
If people in Georgia – or anywhere else – think Uber is unsafe, they are free to say, “No, thank you: I choose not to do business with you.” Try telling the state that next time it demands taxes from you.

What do you mean “there is nothing that requires them to carry insurance” ???

These multibillion dollar law-breaking entities ARE commercial
    transportation businesses.

The laws that cover commercial public transportation have existed
    for DECADES.

This pretentious double-speak that Uber is somehow “innovative”
    is ABSURD.

And this bill is a disgrace to thousands of businesses who
have operated for decades and now will have competition that
doesn’t even pay 1% of what existing businesses are paying!
