Was one of the cops Lee Coel, the same “police officer” sued for excessive force after unleashing a police dog on a bicyclist and who recently shot and killed a retired librarian during a citizens academy because he used real bullets instead of blanks?

Lord help me for saying so, but some cops are just plain malevolent imbeciles. They’re not hard to spot. Why are they still on the police force? By the way, Mr. Rushing’s picture is on the web and he does not look like a meth user. They too are not hard to spot.

The two field tests came up positive for meth. He should sue the company than made those test kits as that is all the police have to go with in the field. If the test was positive they kind of have to arrest you. The test kit being faulty makes me feel that company is at fault for his arrest since it was their defective product.

When a lawsuit of this nature is filed, the plaintiff’s attorney would usually name both the PD and the test kit manufacture as defendants. He was falsely arrested. Too many gung-ho cops in too many police departments.

If the tests showed a positive result, the cops had to take him in for drug possession. People need to lighten up when it comes to the police. They work to protect us. If a cop pulls you over, why not just respect them and do as they ask? Nowadays people think it is okay to argue with armed police, to point a weapon at the police, to strike a policeperson, to curse at the cops. The police are just doing their jobs. Okay, maybe a few have gone rouge, but the vast majority are good cops just trying to survive. If you’re a thug and you get stopped by the police, it is your decision whether you are going to shot at or not simply by how you comply or react to the cops’ requests.

Further, go to another country like Russia and mess with the cops and see what happens. And then try and complain about it should you live.

Yes, we should do whatever the worst people anywhere in the world do. Great standard to go by.

I never said we should do what Russia does. I am saying that many no longer respect the authority of our police force or the job they do. They put their lives on the line to protect us each and every day. A simple traffic stop could mean the end of their life! All I am saying is that many of the situations could have been prevented if the suspect showed some respect and did what the cops asked, instead of walking back to their vehicle and grabbing a weapon.

This would make a great Sienfeld episode if they were still on the air and if not for the rediculous nature of the event. Remember the poppy seed episode? Why did they stop him in the first place? This was a Kramer moment.

This certainly explains my addiction to Krispy Kreme donuts.

Did you ever consider that the dude may have committed a traffic violation? Speeding, running a red light, failure to yield right of way will get you pulled over.

I wonder if they test each other for “donut glaze” given the reputation of the policeman for eating doughnuts?? Just how the heck do you get a false positive of sugar for meth??

Really? The average cop should be able to field-identify donut glaze on eyesight.

Just match it to the powder residues on his partner’s shirt.

I always thought cops were experts on donuts since they often have them in the Police station and when they are on break. A lot of crimes go on when they are on their donut break.

Cops not knowing the difference between donut glaze and meth is like the early bird not knowing what the worm is. Florida strikes again.
