Had premium increase in 2004 of 40%. Now have a 31% increase (2008) with the comment that they had requested an increase of 106% but were limited.by CA dept on insurance. Stated they will request more in the near future.
I have held for a number of years a LTC Insurance Policy with PTNA. They had requested a 50% premium increase last year (08) which was reduced to 12% and which I paid, and now are requesting a 12% increase in 09 with statements that they will ask for more in following years.
When if ever, will this cease?
Perhaps I should stop paying now (I am 82+) in view of assurance of further increases in next year and following years.
Any advice from someone knowledgeable?
