A good continuation effort, however the system will not correct itself until the bias against employers is neutralized!

The only way to reduce Workers’ Comp is to start investigating applicant attorney’s. Applicant atty’s say they are out to protect the claimant’s rights, but most of the time that is not true. Most of the time app atty’s will send the clmt to one of their dr’s and that dr will find clmt to be temp disa for a long period of time. Lets say the clmt has an ortho injury. The applicant ortho dr. will almost always find a psyche or internal injury that is a compensable consequence of the ortho. injury. So, then he refers clmt to treat w/a psyciatrist, psychologist or internist. These dr’s are also applicant dr’s. They treat excessively. They perscibe lots of drugs and refer clmt’s to their preferred pharmacy’s. They end up filing liens. I have seen liens as high $80,000. for treatment.
The whole time clmt’s are being dragged around believing they are going to make it rich off of their workers’ comp. claim, but that is not true because these clmt’s are usually off of work for several years and several years living on temp disa they slowly start loosing everything. Espescially if they are max earners.
The average workers’ comp claim cost between $10,000 – $30,000, but once the applicant becomes represented the average rep workers’ comp claim cost between $30,000 – $60,000. This increased cost is not due to the clmt obtaining much more but the increase is due to medical costs of the medical mills that are involved in the claim.

It is easy to blame the injured in these cases, but if you look closely at w/c you will find that most, of the clmt’s are forced to seek attorney advice in these matters. Their is maybe a handfull of employers that would ever do right by an injured employee and that in fact is why W/C was created in the first place. Insurancs Co, are going to charge the rates they want and the comissioner is not going to stop them.
