    I agree that people should be more responsible for the largest purchase and investment they will make. It is very clear that more and more homes are being built up in the lower mountain forested areas in California and many other states with forested areas. Just as the tax assesor reviews annual property taxes insurance agents must keep up with their customers changes. I think also when someone is having any kind of work done on their home.. addition or any kind of work done by professionals they should have a review of the fire safety issues in their home as well. Is it not wise to keep fire hazards at a minimum? Also the building codes should change too. They should provide a larger area between each single family and housing complex built to keep fires from jumping from one home to another. Common sense and safety is better than the greed of building more in a smaller area. It can save dollars and lives in the long run.
