CPCU To Host National Leadership Institute in Denver

On February 21, the CPCU Society and the Society’s Chapter will be hosting a CPCU Society National Leadership Institute (NLI) course: “Leadership and Ethics—The Power to Succeed.” This course has been approved for four continuing education credits in Colorado and Wyoming.

The course is designed to help attendees develop the skills needed to succeed, and will examine the impact of ethics on the successful leader and the successful organization. Attendees also will explore the traits of successful leaders and ethical persons to examine similarities and determine desirable traits. Then they will discuss how barriers impede ethical decisions and how to overcome those barriers.

The course is being taught by Elise M. Farnham, who has more than 30 years of experience in the risk management and insurance industry. She is president of Illumine Consulting, a firm dedicated to providing experience and knowledge to the risk management and insurance communities through continuing education and claims management consulting. Farnham, a past president of the CPCU Society’s Atlanta Chapter, currently chairs the Media Task Force.

The CPCU Society National Leadership Institute (NLI) is the CPCU Society’s educational program for insurance industry professionals. Both CPCU Society members and nonmembers are invited to attend NLI courses.
