CA is a tinder box and wildfires are an annual event. How many resources and dollars are going to be wasted playing this game? Maybe they should let the state “burnout” once and for all so they wouldn’t have this problem every year. It ain’t that pretty to begin with. I guess without those scrub pines they’d have an even worse erosion and mudslide problem.
Don’t know where you’re from, but you obviously haven’t seen much of California. We have some of the most magnificient scenic places in the world. Big Sur, Yosemite, various beach, mountain and desert communities. My heart goes out to those suffering fire losses. These disasters are happening all over our fair country with floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and yes fires. Try being a little more compasionate!
Smart California’s are doing what they can to minimize the hazard, by making their properties more fire safe. Of course, we could let the state burn, let the folks in the midwest float downstream. Fire and flood – what’s next?
