Yes we too are living free and dying in Utah without a helmet law for adults. It’s actually quite nice to ride without one…until right before the impact.
I am with all of you, lets ban mountain climbing, sky diving, horesback riding, ATV’s, snowmobiles, for sure watercraft of any kind. Let’s just all sit on the sofa and watch Oprah and wait for old age (or boredom) to kill us. Everybody dies, not everyone lives.
All live free or die riders think like you right up to the impact. My helmet saved my life when an idiot backed out in front of me. No amount of training could have prevented the accident. Another fellow in my room had permanent brain damage because he wasn’t wearing a helmet. Natural selection is cruel, but that’t the way of the world.
Riding is one thing, dreams of vehicular suicide are another.
I’m all for bikes. But these people that fly around on ninja bikes at 120mph are insane.
Just yesterday I almost killed a guy on one- I was merging over one lane on the highway, and some guy comes out of nowhere going 120+ to pass a gravel hauler on the right (using the same lane I was merging left in). I mean I literally came a few inches from killing the guy- amazes me how stupid some people can be.
Are helmets required in Utah, or are they optional like in our “live free or die” state of New Hampshire?
Helmets work, but motorcycle training works a whole lot better. Anybody can buy a bike, not everyone can ride one!

Fact: you can’t teach an idiot to drive a bike safely.
Fact: bikes offer no protection in a collision.
Fact: regardless of how safe a bike rider is, they’re no match for cars and trucks.
Fact: any “training” to ride a bike is cursory at best and experience really is the best teacher.
Fact: in an encounter between a bike and anything with 4 or more wheels, bet on the other thing with 4 or more wheels.
Fact: organ donor programs benefit.
Fact: it’s the natural selectin process; leave it alone.

Most of us are not out on the trails, dropping out of a plane or up in the mountains; we are driving around our towns and cities.
Wreckless bike riders put the majority of citizens at risk.
