What a perfect counter sue. They could use this in other situations too. Now when the police get sued for tasing someone and killing/seriously injuring them they can in turn sue the taser company. They should have warned them that they could potentially kill the people they are tasing.

I cannot believe how incredibly wimpy these “protectors of the public” are. I best they were assigned to parking duties at Celine Dion’s concert and couldn’t handle it.
Vegas cops who act like this should be assigned a baby blue uniform and not be allowed to carry weapons.

So they knew that the Taser causes pain, submitted to shocking anyway, and are suing the manufacturer? HUH? I think I just had my fill of WTF for the day.

What a bunch of wine bags! They can give it by can’t take it? If they are so dangerous maybe they shouldn’t be using them at all!

If y’all feel that way, why don’t you go get tased. My husband is an officer in VA and was tased, you don’t see his groups whining.

I can’t believe you guys. “they can dish it out but can’t take it?” Seriously? I suppose all cops should have to get shot in the stomach with a .40 Caliber Glock too so that they can then say they’ve “been there done that?”

You call the cops whiners but look at you! Sitting in your comfy insurance offices all safe and snug whining about the cops! Heaven forbid a bad guy wants to hurt you sometime or a disgruntled client comes into your office with a gun because your insurer denied a claim and thay want to take it out on you.

My guess is if that were to happen you’ll want those “whining” cops to come in and face the bad guys while risking their lives to save your ungrateful asses.

Some of you need to get a grip on reality.

What kind of warning did these rocket scientists need beyond: “USE OF THIS DEVICE WILL HURT YOU”? If they want to sue somebody, let them sue the LVPD for tasering them. Since the LVPD thinks officers need to experience the weapon to truly understand it, maybe they should start shooting them too. Or maybe they should beat the hell out them with a riot baton. What a stupid policy!

    Interesting training philosophy.

Next up…….. We are going to shoot ourselves. It’s the only way that we can truly understand the weapon.

Oh, & by the way, when you’re all healed from that, please report for baton training.

    Where do I sign up?

I’ve been tasered on a few occasions. I don’t really see how there is any potential for “serious injury” that the officers are claiming, unless the devices were faulty. I don’t see any mention of product defects, so what’s the issue??
