Jim, Congratulations on your well deserved promotion !! We miss you in Underwriting, as you were always a driving force in having Home Office control expenses and NOT raise insurance rates every 3 months.
The U of Farmers was an excellent start, This promotion could prove to be a very effective 2nd step. Driving the training down to the Division or District level would be a logical next step. Sadly, there is a fly in the ointment, Non-Insurance management types who measure agency production and effectiveness by non-insurance yardsticks. They need to get rid of PIF rewards. When the focus os on PIF you just get a pile of PIF and eventually it begins to smell like a pile of SH__. PIF can never be equated to GWP as a measure of success.
