What has he been smoking?? He’s been out of the market but, as a carrier underwriter involved in that state, I can say with a 99.9% degree of confidence that the prices ARE NOT firming. Independent agents are still marketing just about every account they have or want to have to every market they have available to protect themselves. Carriers, on the other hand, are gorging themselves writing programs at losses only praying that SOME DAY rates will improve.
No kidding! What a joke. Employers Direct was responsible for helping create this mess in the first place and now he’s acting like this new entity is above it all.
