You sound like you work for them. This “MGA” is average at best. In today’s insurance climate who needs them aside from specialized commercial and I have other markets for these risks. Even smaller agents can obtain appointments directly with the carriers they offer. I don’t see why you would waste your time or give away your commission away. Sorry, I just don’t see it. Sad about Rick McCathron as he appeared to be an up and comer, but even he couldn’t bring them to life.

Can’t believe it took them so long to get rid of McCathron.

I am currently signed on with SAIS, but I really have no need for them. Their value has never been communicated properly and that starts at the top. Rick McCathron did a poor job on getting the word out as to exactly how I (as an independent agent) can benefit. I originaly signed on because of a friends recommendation, but now this decision seems to be a mistake. I can obtain an appointment from anyone at this point, why use them? Specialty Lines?? Maybe….

SAIS is a very good Aggregator and has excellent carriers to help those smaller agents that don’t have access to those carriers. All information needed to do business with SAIS is on-line and is well explained. SAIS does a very good job in providing: 1. Excellent carriers 2. Excellent Services by their underwriters 3. Fees could be lowered but are acceptable. 4. Commissions are acceptable and competitive too. I don’t do business with SAIS but will do so very soon and I know they will be able to grow my book of business.

At no time will we see a better qualified CEO to assume the leadership role at SAIS, nor will we see a bigger champion for the independent agents across America. Look for nothing but good things to happen at Superior Access.

I guess you are correct. I guess their image would improve if they got rid of their fees altogether because I also know other mga’s that do not charge fees and do a very good job providing services and products. I stand corrected.

We shall see…I still don’t understand the draw given the availability of markets, especially on personal lines. It also sounds like you are saying the prior CEO was less than qualified or possibly lacked the vision for this type of set up? Time will tell if you are right, but with lower commission and monthly fees, this will be a challenge for Superior. I just don’t see it happening for them, but what does my 30 years of experience worth anyway.

Tom may be good, but Rick staffed this Company with his inexperienced friends. Crawford has his hands full with this bunch of buffoons.
