What about insurance companies who collude with their insured to defraud someone who was injured by their insured? In Oregon, insurance companies who agree to a settlement and send a check but end up not getting the check to the injured person are required to send the monies by check to the Oregon Department of State Lands (ODSL). The Oregon Department of State Lands cashes the check and holds the money in trust while it tries to find the person to whom the money belongs and turns it over to that person.
In my case, ODSL called the insurance company (State Farm) and State Farm told ODSL to pay the money to their insured instead of to me.
It seems to me that constitutes insurance fraud perpetrated by both State Farm and their insured Mr. Jack C. Rye and his daughter Melissa Li (Rye) O’Keefe with ODSL as a co-conspirator.
I have tried to get them all to pay me a negotiated settlement but ODSL says State Farm supposedly wants to settle with me but State Farm wants me to give Jack C. Rye a release and it was not Jack who hit me with his car. It was his daughter Melissa.
Jack’s involvement is as an insurance claim payment thief who has colluded with State Farm to defraud me of the money offered as settlement
of my claim against Melissa Li for striking me with her car and permanently injuring my back.
How do I get this case resolved? Hire an attorney? That hasn’t worked so far. Can’t find one who isn’t on retainer to an insurance company.
