What Jamie Court is not saying is that Consumer Watchdog stands to make tons of money with their jealth insurance initiative in intevenor fees. Just as they have under Prop 103. This so called “consumer watchdog” group is only in this for the money. Case in point, just in 2009 alone, Harvey Rosenfield was paid over $600,000 by Consumer Watchdog in the name of “consumer protection”. What’s worse, they don’t make their list of members and donors public. You can’t trust Consumer Watchdog.
Prop 103 needs to be amended to include a discount for consumers for having been insured -as required by law. The new bill called the “2012 Auto Insurance Discount Act” will allow consumers to take that continuos insurance discount “with them” when they switch from one company to another. This will reward the consumer and will make the auto insurance market more competitive.
