Only in California where they will band toys in Happy Meals, but allow alcohol tasting in stores.

Makes a lot more sense to me than allowing people to carry hand guns into bars like the law that was just passed in Ohio.

What’s wrong with a little nip in the grocery store? The amount they serve isn’t enough to get a two year old tipsy. California grocery stores sell wine, beer and hard liquor. Maybe you would like a liitle sip of something to see if you like it before you plunk down $30-40 for a bottle.

Wonder what this will do to liquor liability rates in CA. Once one city goes, they’ll all go this route. Makes Supermarkets less desirable insureds.

mmm. Lets see now – 1/4 oz of booze + 1 oz of wine + 8 oz of beer -taken at three different intervals throughout the grocery shopping experience should make for an enjoyable supermarket experience …until the shopping cart DUI’s start piling up!
It will keep law enforcement and the legal community in business creating new legislation & laws. And chiropractors can set up a little supermarket adjustment table for the resultant whiplash injuries! Can you tell I used to be a claims person (-:

I’d be very happy to vote for free alcohol samples.
