Can I call you something that can get you investigated by the government, have you wiretapped without any court order, and legally detained without due process, suspending the bill of rights, and held by the military?
How would you feel about the name-calling after all that?

Like many other Muslims in America, this guy will probably send the money to his coharts to purchase weapons from Iran & Syria to continue their Jihad, their religious duty, of killing the infadels (us). Muslims continue to take advantage of our Welfare system (And Medicare/Medicade) and our tax system to use our own money to wage war against us.
The joke is on us.

Okay, why is this different from “sticks and stones?”
1) It’s not an ethnic slur. An ethnic/racial slur would be calling him a “raghead” or “camel jockey.”
2) Calling someone a “goomba,” “mick,” or any other racial slur will not end up with the target of the slur being potentially arrested by the military and held indefinitely without due process or legal rights.
The Patriot Act, and the 2012 Indefinite Detention Bill that Obama signed into law just recently means that the security guard could have been in real risk of being arrested and held without due process just on the allegation that he was a terrorist.
Agreed. Back in 2008 I was in the healthcare industry, our company was going on a group vacation and while at the O’Hare airport in Chicago, one of the agents cracked a joke that one of the other agents, who is from Arab decent, was a terrorist. Obviously this was not taken well with our Arab friend especially at an airport of all places where they could have been taken into custody for such a joke. Calling them a camel jockey or yak master is one thing, but calling someone a terrorist is completely different with different consequences.

If he had the reading comprehension of an 8th grader, he would’ve been able to understand that I do not approve of the Indefinite Detention law. It’s a horrible idea.
However, he seems to look at adverse comments to his position as being nothing but a springboard to espouse his own vitriol.
There is no rationalizing with these people. Just back away slow and let them mutter to themselves. It’s safer for all involved that way.
Ignorant people use racial epitaphs. Are there really companies out there that have policies that support this kind of behavior or even ignore it? Or is this person exploiting the fact they are Muslim to get work comp benefits and/or a large judgment? I would have to review more evidence and testimony than this article presents before making this judgment. As a member of a minority I’ve been the subject of epitaphs but have never given any thought to suing the company who employed those that slung these indignations my way. In today’s PC world using certain words that even hint at discrimination stops all reasonable dialogue or defenses – so problems do not get fixed and justice is rarely administered. Finally anything that comes out of a California jury I have doubts about their ability to determine fault during deliberations/crucifixions. And I have just one person to support my position – OJ. But perhaps that make me guilty of being prejudice against CA juries.
From the stories of the indignations I’ve heard from minority friends and co-workers I’ve been very suprised at the great attutude most still have. I hope there isn’t some deep-seeded hatred or anger under the smiles, I’m not in the position to know but they handle things a lot better than I do when I feel I’ve been wronged. Good for you not to sue. I can’t say what I’d do.
Most California juries do a pretty good job unless there is a celebrity involved. They think they can get away with murder. That’s not meant to be a pun but in the case of OJ he certainly did in criminal court. Poor Lindsey Lojan, she actually spent a short time in jail. She’s got to be confused at the harsh treatment she received when Paris checked in and checked out. Life is so unfair. I jest.
They don’t call California the land of fruits and nuts for nothing. A Californian will tell you how smart they are and how wonderful their state is, but they are pretty much bankrupt and are a haven for illegal aliens and the real business community has been leaving in droves due to the environmentalists and heavy regulation and cost of doing business. I can’t speak much for their legal system, but the legislature passes the bills which do great harm to the economy there. They would rather save a smelt than give farmer’s water.
