Cannabis does not impair one’s ability to drive a motor vehicle. To say that Cannabis impairs one’s ability to operate a motor vehicle is misleading and untruthful. Alcohol and Cannabis are two very different substances. Cannabis can help one drive better by going slower and paying more attention to the road.

Trey, I totally disagree with you. Cannabis does not help people drive better. However, going slower and paying more attention does help people to drive better; I’ll agree with you there. Driving under the influence of any drug, prescribed or not, is not a good thing to do. Heck, Benadryl can make you drowsy for goodness sake! If you’re speaking from experience, you’re kidding yourself and are an accident or worse just waiting to happen.

I smoke/eat MJ but do not drive after smoking or eating. Most medical MJ patients do not drive after ingesting. We are careful of protecting our precious right to treat our pain or other maladies. After it builds up in your system you have better management, due to the saturation of THC those with some maladies are able to finally function in the regular world, like the woman with MS.

Every law enforcement agency has an impaired drivers test in place and when coupled with a video from the dash camera found in almost every police car it is sufficient in any court to prove impairment.

We don’t need more laws on the books for marijuana impairment, prescription drug impairment and alcohol impairment when a law stating that driving while impaired is illegal.

This is a propaganda article put out by the ONDCP trying to get America to pass per se drugged driving laws,,another persecution tactic for marijuana users.

Am I the only one thinking about that scene in “Up In Smoke” where sitting in the car with so much smoke in the car they can’t even see? Cheech: “How am I driving, man?” Chong: “I think we’re PARKED!”

In Washington a “non-voting entity” (Costco) chose to immerse itself into local politics and bought the privatization of alcohol sales. Mainly supported by supporters of legalizing drug usage, with a hand under the table from our Democrat governor. Now it is just a matter of time before Costco joins the legalization of Drug fight with the ultimate goal of getting the dispensing rights for the state.

A sensationalism headline picked up from a Denver news channel. There is no “epidemic” here in Colorado. There is no story. This is the same woman used in the 9News story. Since we are entertaining taxation and regulation this November there is a desperate attempt to create drama where there is none. We have been medically legal for nearly eleven years now and there have been no real news stories except those of the feds coming in and messing with Sate’s Rights, going after cancer patients who were growing in their basements.
Just trying to stop the rumor mill created by “news”.

Pure propaganda garbage. I believe the last studies (as if this really were a new topic) say:
Marijuana use = 2X increased risk of accident
Cellphone use = 4X increased risk of accident
Texting = 10X increased risk of accident
Alcohol .08 BAC = 20X increased risk of accident
