If they are here illegally and driving illegally, what makes people think they will obey the law and get licenses and insurance?

Well, there are a lot of people out there drinking and driving, why don’t they just learn to accept it and let them drive anyway. If they are ILLEGAL, they should get sanctioning from any state.

What part of “illegal” don’t these advocates understand??? These immigrants are here illegally – i.e. in violation of the law. Why do the advocates continue to want to give illegals the same rights as legals? So they can continue to do even more Illegal activities? What carriers are knowingly going to insure illegals so they can be in compliance with state insurance laws?

How many of these moronic “advocates” have ever travelled overseas ? Just try going around in Europe or better yet in the Middle East without your “papers”. I have had officials ask to see my visa and other documents. I never felt violated because each sovereign nation has the right to know who is visiting. I never considered trying to get a Morroccan driver’s license even with proper travel documents.

“They say illegal immigrants are driving anyway, and that the public would be safer if those drivers could seek licenses and auto insurance.” OK, so they break one law by being here illegally, break a second by driving illegally, break a third by driving without insurance.

The Answer offered by leftists? Give these people, who are currently in violation of three laws, access to drivers licenses? I thought “driving is a privilege”? Do we allow natural born teenagers to obtain licenses AFTER they have broken three laws? No. In fat, if a 16 year old breaks almost ANY laws, their license is revoked until age 18.

Perhaps we should take this approach with more crimes. Drunk driving? Hell, we’ll give you a six-pack!

There are auto insurance companies out there that will allow someone with a Mexican driver license or international licenses to get auto insurance here — so the excuse that they will get auto insurance if they have an U.S.A. driver license to horse hockey.
