Well, if Consumer Watchdog doesn’t like the idea of maintaining “earned” discounts, they aren’t very good at being a watchdog for consumers. Too bad they don’t like rewarding responsibility.

The irresponsible should be surcharged. Consumer watchdog folks should play the advocate by excluding uninsured motorist on their own personal auto insurance policy. Maybe then they would be a litte connected with reality. Nothing like a good uninsured motorist claim to ruin your day/life. This is one where you have no company to bring forth a lawsuit for some free money…

Comon Sense will prevail. If you comply with the law you should be rewarded. It’s as simple as that.

Riddle me this, Harvey. How do you raise rates on someone who doesn’t buy auto insurance in the first place?

If Consumer Watchdog is truly concerned with the amount consumers pay for automobile liability insurance, why do they make no effort to place limits on the amount of broker fees that producers charge?
