Well, Mr. Jones, if your dept. did more enforcement instead of just renewing licenses, you would get more revenue. You see, just because you and your staff need a raise, doesn’t mean you’ve earned one. In Business, it costs money and takes time and sweat to earn a higher income. However, the government can a raise the fees without actually earning them. No wonder so many people want to work for you. The problem is with business, when fees and taxes and frivilous lawsuits brought on by future politicians cost you more than you earn and don’t allow you time to work in your business, you usually have to shut it down. By the way, that Venti Carmel Macchiato you had was paid for by a business… So I hope the extra shot WAKES YOU UP!!!
