How does this “settlement” agreement help the cost of insurance for CA drivers?
Does this settlement enable more development of the CA insurance code of regulations?
Does this settlement used to expand the government payroll at the CA DOI?
Does CA DOI of insurance focus more on independent rather than captive CA insurance carriers to help them thru their business practices learning curve?
Does CA DOI ever endorse the competitive CA based carriers by broadcasting companies who excel with claims satisfaction based on their own reports (Statistical Analysis Division)?
CALIFORNIA CONSUMER COMPLAINT STUDY – 2014
50 LARGE AUTOMOBILE INSURERS LICENSED TO CONDUCT BUSINESS IN CALIFORNIA
RATIO for COMPLAINT YEARS – 2013, 2012 and 2011
Welcome to California the land of the free (entrepreneurs) and home of the regulated (CA DOI)!
Major independent agency focused, competitive, CA based company fined $2.86 per violation may be a distraction (feels like the “Wrong Jungle” Steven R Covey).
Let get serious and really help our Commuters, Young Adults, fixed income Seniors and modest income earners who need real relief. It is time for Proposition 13 type action to downside non-essential state interference which unintentionally increases the real cost of insurance and driving in CA.
Prop 13 A Sunset CA DOI (consolidate non-essential “partisan” agency into DMV or privatize)
Prop 13 B Waive Sales Tax on all used cars (major cost for frugal consumers)
Prop 13 C Decimalized DMV (only suspend license for driving reasons, major cost for the modest income earners)
Prop 13 D Waive Smog Certificate for cars registered in non-smog counties that qualify (makes used car more affordable)
Prop 13 E Lower Gas Sales Taxes to reflect actual maintenance of roads (not increased regulation)
Prop 13 F Subsidy Claim Relief Act (why have more suburban and rural regions pay for higher urban claim activity)
Prop 13 G Eliminate Cash for Older cars (wasteful to destroy non rusted quality used cars, this would also lower the cost of used cars and parts by increasing supply)
Prop 13 H Waive Special CA Gas Formulation (in smog free counties, or during local industry shut downs)
Prop 13 I 25 BI/50 BI/25 PD State Minimums (index, current 15/30/5 hurts modest people who live where higher percent motorists are uninsured and under insured)
I would like to know if I have a claim with Mercury Insurance company have had this insurance for many years a notification was never sent to me, if I can be a part of the settlement thank you
