>…Mary Meeker is one of the few female senior partners at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, one of the Silicon Valley’s most prestigious venture capital firms.
…and as a Senior Partner, doesn’t she have a vested interest in not “witnessing” any gender bias? If she didn’t see any, it may be due to she chooses to not recognize it. After all, everybody knows, if you don’t see it, it must not exist !
On the other hand, if this was any other state than California, the less-than-stellar-employee-who-was-let-go and her attorney wouldn’t be wasting time and money in the court system.
The cynical part of me sees this as nothing more than an office relationship that went sour and a calculated effort to discredit a firm for the sole purpose of saving face. Throw in a few, other personal issues at home and you have the framework for what is now unfolding in court. My ruling is for the defendant.
