Cars crash, tires blowout, parts fail. There is no way to prevent equipment failures as machines are imperfect as are humans. I feel bad for the person but they should throw this out of court for the good of us all.
Just because you want to Ben Dover, why should the rest of us? A Corporation chose profits over safety. They knew their vehicles had malfunction defects, but elected to ignore until forced. The only way to get a corporation to choose humanity over profits, is to hit them in their profit centers.
I agree that some corporations need to be reigned in, but, unfortunately, slapping them with fines and lawsuits won’t solve anything. They just pass those costs on to the consumers, so we’re the ones who pay the fines. What really needs to happen is that the individuals responsible should be criminally prosecuted.
Who said anything about the investigation of the defect? If you think companies don’t weigh the cost of a recall vs. the chances of a suit & their potential charges, you’d be naive.

Spoken like someone with absolutely zero experience investigating defect claims.

Ben, perhaps the OnStar didn’t work so well along with all their other defects brought out recently.
Comment removed for impersonation.
Still stealing monikers Nebraskan, Stan, Confused, Ins102, whichever one you are? Speaking of pathetic, you are definitely that.
