    Seriously.

You are going to buy and use something that you KNOW affects your mind and you need to be warned of the potential side effects???

I would say it is a pretty sure bet that there were some underlying marital issues.

Unless it can be proven that there was an anomaly with the candy the father is the perpetrator and suing the vendors is so wrong.

My heart bleeds for the boys. They are the true victims.

I’m in agreement with the likeliness of marital issues. However, there is contributory negligence involved due to the hallucinatory effect of the pot.

Ironically, the liberals in Colorado will eventually award the plaintiff for the contributory negligence of the pot seller, despite warnings on the labels, etc. Who will be penalized? All pot sellers, whose PL insurance will rise sharply in cost.

I hope we don’t read any more of these sad stories, due to the increased use of pot that might otherwise not get into the wrong hands were it illegal. But we likely will see a few more. And I don’t expect the liberals to be far away from calling for gun control in Colorado if a few more such deaths happen, despite being largely due to intoxication.

I’d like to know the stats on drunk murderers vs this 1 case, which I suspect had little to do with the bite of candy and more to do with the relationship or lack thereof. #”gatewaydrug”becomesthescapegoat

Ever hear of Goo gul? It’s a favorite tool of libbies to edify themselves of things conservatives already know. Hallucinations aren’t caused by marital difficulties.

No, they aren’t caused by marital problems. They are caused by Fox News. Because obviously all its viewers are straight up trippin’!

    Where are the Pot Bots?

I expected my posts to be rapidly ‘hidden due to low ratings’.

Oh! I forgot; pot heads don’t awaken until noon or later.

The suit is complete and utter BS. How many homicidal tragedies are committed each and every day where behavior is influenced by alcohol and/or legal pharmaceuticals? Makes absolutely no sense.

Thank you Claims Slacker! I was going to say the same thing! I could have missed it, but I don’t remember the makers of Jack Daniels, Jameson, or Absolut being sued because someone got loaded and decided violence was the best way to end an argument.

Personally, I’m not a fan of pot (tried it a couple of times when I was younger and hated it,) and my heart goes out to the children who are left without parents after this. But, unless tests of the uneaten piece of candy come back showing that it included something other than what should have been in there, I hope this case gets thrown out. Otherwise, you can bet we’ll see cases against liquor manufacturers and stores for not providing maximum recommended consumption information, and not adequately warning customers of the possible results of exceeding that maximum.

Hallucinating? From edible pot, I don’t believe it. There is more to this story. Martial problems more likely.

Maybe the coverage will be found in Personal & Advertising Liability just like the recent Cyber suit.

Yes, but unless they had a separate products/completed ops cov. since that is usually carved out of the standard GL policy when it comes to cannabis.

      Nope, not now.

Why can’t people take responsibility for their own actions instead of trying to sue manufacturers. When you knowingly, purchase an consume items such as this one or alcohol, or drugs that change the chemistry in the BRAIN and is clearly labeled as such why does everyone want to sue the manufacturer.. when this guy purchased the candy was or was it not his intent to get high and alter his brain otherwise, there wouldn’t be a point to buying marijuana candy would there? Then the guy pleads insanity, the insanity is in being able to sue others for actions and consequences you are 100% responsible for. This guy was violent BEFORE the candy…..and we wonder why all of U.S. manufacturing jobs moved to other countries?

Betty, you make far too much sense for this forum. By the way, do you want to buy a Ford made in Mexico or a GM vehicle made in China? GM is in more trouble. It seems they misstated mileage on their SUV’s like the Chevy Traverse and the Buick Enclave. They don’t get what the sticker advertises on mileage. Oops, another strike against them.

Pot smokers who hallucinate often will continue to hallucinate that there are no hallucinatory effects from smoking pot.

This is Ludacris. And to those of you who feel pot heads sleep till noon, there are a HUGE majority of us that actually work full time. If not, how could we afford the good stuff?

This guy was obviously abusive, way before he took the candy. The pot mellows you out, doesn’t enrage you. So this is crap. And I hope it gets thrown out, I feel sorry for the kids, however, it’s most likely for the best that they were removed from the home because I’m sure they were witness to many more violent incidents prior to this day.

It’s sad that people are going to blame the effects of pot on someone snapping and killing their spouse. I think it is sad, if anything, maybe he should have eaten the whole piece so he could have calmed down.

I am in awe of the stupidity that surrounds this issue and peoples opinions. Alcohol has been legal for many years, and drunk drivers kill people everyday. This is the first time anything related to Pot has been posted relating to violence; and the sad thing is the pot had nothing to do with a violent man that was already violent and marital issues were already present. So blame the pot so the family can get money from the companies NOT Responsible. This is NOT justice! This is a sad case of blame placed on an industry that receives so much flack, when it’s ones choice how they choose to wind down. However, I have never EVER wanted to become violent after I “medicate” if anything…it stops the VIOLENT TENDANCIES!
